Dr. Bill Giddings, President

I want to take this opportunity to introduce you to Northwest Iowa Community College. I am very proud to be associated with NCC and I believe that we are a significant community college that makes a difference in the lives of the individuals and communities of Northwest Iowa.

As a native of Northwest Iowa, I am aware of the strong work ethic of its residents and the value they place on quality education. NCC mirrors those values with a mission of being “a progressive learning college rapidly responding to the changing needs of our global community.”

NCC has a long tradition of providing outstanding vocational training programs. We were the first “technical” college in Iowa, actually beginning as a technical college one year prior to the forming of Iowa’s community college system. To this strong beginning, NCC has expanded its programs to include Associate Degrees in Arts and Science, Business and Health programs and Continuing Education classes for Business and Industry needs.

I am entering my 20th year as an Iowa Community College Professional and my 34th year working at a Midwest community college. During my entire career, I have found that community colleges make a difference in lives. This is true at NCC, whether you are enrolling as a full-time student, taking one course, completing your high school education or learning new skills for your job. We can make a difference in your life.

NCC has exciting plans for the future growth of its campus. I look forward to being a part of the College as we equip ourselves to better prepare the residents and communities in Northwest Iowa for the present and for the future.

Sincerely,
