The Staff at the Learning Center

 

Tracy attended the University of South Dakota where she graduated with a BS in Accounting. She has beenTracy with the Learning Center for 6 years. She really enjoys getting to know the students and watching them succeed.

When she has time to relax, she enjoys bicycling, scrap booking, and spending time with her family. Tracy and her husband live in Sheldon with their children.

When asked what her future hopes are, she replied, "That all students would use the resources available to get the most out of their college education."

Mary Jane received her BA from the University of Northern Iowa where she majored in Biology and also received a degree in Special Education. She has been an instructor in the Learning Center for eighteen years.

In her leisure time, she likes to read, travel, and enjoy the outdoors. She and her husband live southeast of Hartley and have four grown children and five grandchildren.

Mary Jane's future hopes are that those serving in the Armed Forces overseas would return home safely and that we could once again live in a country where terrorist attacks are not a daily concern. When asked what the favorite part of her job was, she replied, "Working one-on-one with students from a variety of curriculum areas and getting to know them professionally and personally."

Susan joined the Learning Center in August of 2001 as a part of the Title III grant. She has her masters in Vocational Education and a BA in Business Education . She is currently taking classes through ISU where she is working on the LINC program.

Being recently married, Susan enjoys spending time with her new husband and family. When she has free time, she enjoys going for walks, reading, horseback riding, and shopping for things to decorate her farm near Everly, Iowa.

When asked what her favorite part of her job was, she replied, "Working with the faculty on training and tutoring students.

After graduating from Hartley High School, Connie went on to Spencer School of Business . She has been with NCC since 2001, but it wasn't until January of 2003 that she started at the Learning Center.

Connie enjoys reading, spending time with her grandchildren, and motorcycle vacations. She lives in Sheldon with her husband, two dogs, and a cat. Connie's 2 sons also live in town which makes it easy for her and her husband to visit their grandchildren.

When asked what she liked most about her job, she replied,"I enjoy interacting with the students and getting to know them."
